Our studio

In 2017 we transformed a part of our artisan workshop to create an area to house the new technical offices and an exhibition space.

Interior

The project provides an open space with an industrial character, opening up the existing ceiling and renovating the original face of the shed. The intent is to create a box within the box, with the construction of an iron frame structure purposely kept disconnected from the pre-existing reinforced concrete structure. The space is kept open and bright, without structural constraints, enhancing the natural light that enters through the large windows.

To connect the ground floor and the first floor, we created a compass-shaped staircase, joining 6.5-metre-high wooden beams that act as a load-bearing structure and a 3-millimeter-thick bent sheet metal as a walking surface. Between the first floor and the mezzanine under the vault we have designed a spiral staircase made solely with a folded and natural painted iron sheet.

A fundamental part was devising the new face of the company. By moving the main entrance for suppliers, we created polystyrene volumes to give a new shape to the facade. All the existing glass has been replaced, while maintaining the original frames of the structure. The intent is not to create a classic office but a welcoming and elegant loft, creating a suggestive atmosphere with the right use of lights.

External

The project ends with the care of the external green area, embellished with seasonal flowers and trees planted in the 60s, at the beginning of our history.
